‘Dakotans for Honesty in Politics’ supports disbandment of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) over a period of ten years. In its place, we support state funded programs encouraging cities to increase employment through construction and maintenance of city housing and businesses.

We advocate allowing tenants to do necessary repairs on their homes if they are competent to do so and apply repair costs to rent or contract-for-deed purchase of the property.

We support homesteading verified abandoned property as a means to renovate it.
